Sealing test
Conducting sealing performance test for engine exhaust manifolds can ensure that the products are free from leakage under the specified test pressure preventing engine performance degradation and excessive emissions caused by poor sealing.
All the exhaust manifolds products should undergo sealing performance tests after assembly on their intake pipes, exhaust pipes, and connecting sections.
The product is placed on the test bench with its inlet and outlet sealed and fastened. Then using a brush to apply soapy water to all welded seams, connecting flanges of the intake and exhaust pipes, housing joints, and the sealing area of the plug to check for any bubbles. The presence of bubbles indicates leakage points.
